Therapy Specialties

Modified Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (mCIMT)

This therapy prompts the use of the affected arm by limiting the use of the unaffected side. The aim is to increase the awareness of the affected upper limb, specifically in unilateral cerebral palsy/ hemiplegia.

Goal Directed Training (GDT)

Involves a child practicing specific tasks that are needed for everyday life, which they find challenging. Goal directed training uses principles of motor learning theory and dynamic systems theory.

Bimanual Occupational Therapy (BOT)

Helps children learn to use both hands together to complete everyday activities. Therapy is planned, repeated practice of two-handed play to improve a child’s ability to use their hands together and understand the role of their dominant vs non dominant hand.
